Monday, December 10, 2012   by: Chris DawsonSix Local Youth Bowlers from Partners Bowling in North Bay competed in the 2nd step of the 4 Steps to Stardom Tournament in Haileybury on Sunday, December 9th.

This is a major tournament in the YBC - it’s a tournament which goes through four steps leading up to the Canadian National Championships.

The 4 steps are House Round, Zone Finals, Provincial Finals and finally National Finals. The bowlers from North Bay competed in 4 out of 6 possible Singles categories.

In the Junior Boys division, Liam Smith captured a Gold medal.

Liam has previously been to the Nationals two times. In the Bantam Boys division, Noah Starcevic captured a Gold Medal and Nicholas Maclean captured a Silver Medal.

Both of these bowlers placed 6th at Nationals last season.

In the Bantam Girls division, Kyrsten Tremblay captured a Bronze medal.

Thank you to all the participants and good luck to both Noah Starcevic and Liam Smith at the Provincials in March 2013 in the Sudbury area!
