Monica Hotson, Jeremy Robinson, and Spencer Smith competed in their first Ontario Team Trials and performed very well. Each of these athletes paddled hard and achieved personal bests every time they hit the water.
“Our athletes did an amazing job this weekend," said head coach Dylan Card.
"They have come along way in the last few months. All their hard work is coming together and they are producing very good results. Technically they are getting very strong. I hope this weekend’s racing will encourage them to keep up the intensity of their practices. I am very proud of all of them.”
The next regatta is in Carleton Place and will be an Atom, Peewee, Bantam, and Midget Regatta.
The North Bay Canoe Club will be hosting their regatta on July 28th at Olmsted beach. Athletes from all over the Eastern Ontario Division will be here to compete for a spot on the Ontario Summer Games Team.
The public is invited to come watch some exciting flat-water racing.
