NDA Basketball - Trojans and Bears prevail

Wednesday, December 21, 2011   by: Chris DawsonThe West Ferris Junior and Senior basketball team won their respective games against Franco Cite on Tuesday night. The Junior team led by an impressive 39 point performance by Jesse Pledge beat the Patriots 60-45. Ryan Roelcke chipped in with 10 points. Alex Marleau led Franco with 10 points.

The Senior Trojans, playing without leading scorer Jake Tougas, broke open a close game with an impressive 2nd half beating the Patriots 54-33. Justin Bodroghy led the attack with 18 points and a handful of beautiful assists. Jonathon Isenegger and Will Christian each scored 9 points for the Trojans. Nick Proulx led the Pats with 13 points.

In other senior action, the Widdifield Wildcats were upset 56-46 at the hands of the St. Joseph-Scollard Hall Bears.

Darius Tignanelli finished with a game high 17 points.

The Wildcats were led by Eric Bowman who had 15 points.
