Sources close to the OHL have told BayToday.ca that North Bay native, and Kingston Frontenacs forward Dylan Staples has been traded to the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds for American forward Trevor Morbeck and a 10th round pick in 2013.

The former North Bay Midget AAA Trappers forward, who was drafted in the 6th round of the OHL draft by Kingston in the spring of 2010, has 1 goal and 2 assists in 13 games so far this season with the Fronts.

Staples told BayToday.ca that the news of the trade was pretty shocking.

"I didn't really see it coming but, I mean, its a fresh new start, I'm excited, said Staples.

"It's a great organization there in the Sault and great team so I think it will be lots fun. Kingston was nothing but great to me i mean gave me the chance, but obviously they needed change so just happened to be me but I'm definitely excited and can't wait to start."
