Barons and Trojans prevail in NDA Sr. Football openers

The St. Joseph-Scollard Hall Bears missed a last minute field goal which would have tied the game as the Algonquin Barons held on for a 23-21 win over the Bears Friday night on the NDA Senior Football opening night at Rollie Fischer Field.

Gabriel Rancourt, Jordan Sutcliffe and Rhyss Libby recorded touchdowns for the Barons.

Spencer Brooks and Chris Barfoot scored touchdowns for the Bears.

In a re-match of the NDA final, the West Ferris Trojans blanked the Widdifield Wildcats 38-0.

Brad Piper led the offensive charge for the Trojans with a pair of touchdowns. Sam Levac, Austin Gravelle and Thomas Hamilton had the other scores for the defending champs.
