The Nipissing Lakers hockey team hits the road Friday for a pair of OUA games in Quebec.

Friday night will likely be the toughest test as they head to Trois-Rivieres to face-off against the UQTR Patriotes, a team that was ranked 5th in the nation last year with an impressive 21-4-3 record.

“This will be a pretty nice test for us," said McParland about his Lakers team that carries a 2-1 pre-season record in to their first regular season road game.

"If we aren’t on top of our game we are going to be in for a very tough game but if we are on top of our game we have a chance."

The Lakers will head to Montreal on Saturday to take on the Concordia Stingers.

The Lakers hold a 0-0-1 going into their second weekend of OUA regular season play as they made a huge 4-goal comeback against the Queen's Golden Gaels and salvaged a 5-4 shootout loss in their season opener last Friday in a packed house of 3200 plus at Memorial Gardens.

You can hear the Lakers Hockey broadcasts on the radio on AM 600 CKAT hosted by Bob Coles.

Fridays game is a 7 p.m. start while the Concordia game starts at 2:00 p.m.
