With rain in the forecast for Thursday, the North Bay Stanley Cup committee has decided to bring the Stanley Cup indoors for the event on Thursday, July 23rd.

The Cup will be on display from 10 to 2 inside Memorial Gardens and hockey fans are asked to line up outside Memorial Gardens and enter through the North entrance in the ticket lobby.

Fans will have an opportunity to get a picture taken with the cup and meet Penguins assistant coach and Stanley Cup winner Mike Yeo.

The event will include a barbeque hosted by Burger World, autograph sessions with local NHL Alumni, junior and college hockey players along with a shooting gallery set up by Elitehockey.net.

Other hockey memorabilia and prizes will be given out throughout the day.

All proceeds of the event will go towards Kidsport.

The event will include introductions at 10:00 a.m. with Mike and Mayor Vic Fedeli saying a few words to get the event going.

The event was originally scheduled to take place outdoors in Thomson Park behind Memorial Gardens.
