The North Bay Toyota Thunder Minor Bantam 'AA' hockey team continued their winning ways by being crowned both regular and playoff champions in the Nickel District Hockey League. The Thunder finished the season with 31 wins,3 losses and 1 tie.

The Thunder finished the season with 31 wins,3 losses and 1 tie.
In the opening round of the playoffs the Thunder faced the Copper Cliff Redman. The Thunder swept this series in three straight games. The scores were 6-2, 6-0 and 5-1.
The championship series saw the locals defeat the Sudbury Wolves 3 games to 1. Games scores were 5-2, 3-4, 4-2 and 2-0.
Next up for the Thunder is the Toronto Aeros Tournament this coming weekend.
This tournament will conclude an amazing season for the team having claimed championships in the Missisauga North Star Tournament, the Barrie Glenn Bellerby Tournament, the Gloucester Rangers Winterlude Tournament and the NOHA Championship. They also won silver in the Humberview Huskies Tournament, the Sudbury Silver Stick and the West Ferris Early Bird Tournament.In the West Ferris Early Bird tournament, the Thunder played up a level in the Major Bantam 'AA' Division.
