Grassi, Leonard John 'Len'

Passed away peacefully at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Saturday, August 29th 2015, at the age of 85 years. Sadly missed by Florence (nee Lucenti), the mother of Len’s children. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Donna Carricato (Robert) and Laura-Lee Biren (Hal).

 Cherished Nono of Andrew (Rosemary), Anthony, Adam, Alyssa, Josh, Nathan (Shaindel), Aaron, Sarah and Yehuda, Amber (Tijn) and Great-Nono of Theodore. Dear brother of Olga “Ollie” Baldelli,  Salvatore “Sam” Grassi ( Vera-predeceased), Anita Grassi and Edison “Eddie” Grassi (Paulette). Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Len was predeceased by his parents; Domenico and Domenica (nee Rose), his son; Larry Grassi (Bonnie-surviving) in 2007 and his siblings; Laborio “Labo” Grassi (Cecile), Armando “Norm” Grassi (Armene), Almira “Alma” Bubba (Tom-surviving), Dante “Donald” Grassi (Doris-surviving), Polmero “Patrick” Grassi, Enrico “Henry” Grassi (Margaret), and Stella Meadows (Stanley). Len was a 3rd Degree Knight of Columbus of Council 1007, a proud 4th Degree Knight of Columbus in the Albanel Assembly and Past Grand Knight of Council 11760. A past member and an altar server and usher at St. Rita's Church, and a founding member of the Davedi Club of North Bay. Len was a well known realtor in the City of North Bay and served as the past president of the North Bay Real Estate Board. Family and friends may pay their respects at McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay), Tuesday September 1st 2015 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m and September 2nd, 2015 from 8:30 am till time of the funeral mass. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter the Apostle Church on Wednesday September 2nd, 2015  at 10 a.m.  Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.  As expressions of sympathy, donations to L’ Arche- Cam’s Place or NADY (Nipissing Association for Disabled Youth)- PADDLE program would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
