Carriere, Rosemary Bernadette (nee Sampson)

Posted

In her 88th year.  I, Lionel, am devastated.  I just lost my partner, my wife of 67 years.  She was mother to our four wonderful children, Gordon (Nancy), Micheal (Suzanne), Sharon-Anne (David) and Mary- Esther.  She is survived by her brother Andy Sampson (Diane) of Bonfield.  Rosemary was a homemaker and so loved her children.  A birthday cake and card were never missed nor a gift at Christmas.  She leaves behind 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.  It will be hard to cope without her kind words and sound advice.  Her rose garden, meat pies and especially her buttertarts will not soon be forgotten.  We belonged to all the clubs, enjoying bowling and poche but dancing was her favourite by far.  She was a devout Catholic, honest to a fault and trustworthy.  We belonged to St. Peter the Apostle Parish.  I pray that the Lord in his great mercy find a home for Rosemary which she so deserves.  Services to be held at the McGuint Funeral Home (North Bay) on Thursday August 13, 2015 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Peter the Apostle Church on Friday August 14, 2015 at 10 am, cremation to follow and interment at Bonfield Cemetery. Donation to a charity of your choice would be gratefully appreciated by her family.  Many thanks to the terrific nursing staff and doctors at North Bay Regional Health Centre for taking such good care of her.
