COSTELLO, Cecil Vernon

Passed away at ARCH after a courageous battle on Monday, July 27, 2015 at the age of 76.  Beloved husband and best friend of Pauline Costello (nee Harper) for 34 years.  Loving father of Christopher (Nora) and Anna-Lisa Costello.  Dear step-father of William Carriere (Shauna) and Debbie Taylor (Greg).  Grandpa Vern will be dearly missed by his grandchildren Angela, Katie, Nicole, Lennon, Rachel and Holly.  Predeceased by his parents Cecil and Emily Costello.  Brother of Wendy Kane (Danny), late Evan (Joanne), late Keith, late Lee (late Constance), late Ivy (late Jim), late Edith (late Neivin), late Glen and late Maureen (late Lloyd).  Brother-in-law of Maxwell Harper, Arlene Erdman, Mel Harper, Kirk Harper, Tammy Peterson, late Forst Harper, late Walter Harper (Nancy) and late Nora Boland.  Special friend of John and Laura Coccimiglio.  He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews.  Vern was an avid Chicago Blackhawks fan and loved to fish and hunt at his camp in Michipicoten.  His great sense of humour and presence will be dearly missed by all who knew him.  At Vern’s request there will be no funeral or visitation.  Memorial donations to ARCH or SAH Cancer Care Fund would be appreciated by the family.   Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758). www.northwoodfuneral.com
