Steele, Barton Emerson

(January 3, 1929 – June 30, 2015) – Bart passed away at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on the morning of June 30, 2015. Predeceased by his parents Ernest and Margaret Steele, infant daughter Shelly, son Patrick, and sister Jessie McGaughey. Survived  by his sister Aldene Frechette (Hector), and children Mike (Kelly), Debbie (Alan), Bart and Lisa, as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will also be remembered by his long-time companion Fran Lloyd. Bart worked at Ontario Northland Railway as a conductor for 27 years. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed being outdoors, but nowhere was as special as his cottage on Trout Island. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters (cheques only). Visitation will take place at HILLSIDE FUNERAL SERVICES, 362 Airport Rd, on Saturday July 4, 2015 from 11 am – 1 pm. A celebration of his life will follow at 1 pm at the funeral home.
