BOGDANSKI, Sophia

Passed away peacefully with family by her side at Sunnyside Home on Monday May 11, 2015, at the age of 95. Predeceased by her husband John (2006) and parents Jan and Agata Ukleja.   Sophia was born in Domaszew, Poland. After WWII was over, John immigrated to Waterloo, followed six months later by his wife, three children and his mother. Sophia was the dear mother of Helen Tripp (late John) of North Bay, Vincent Bogdanski and his wife Patty of London;  Edward and his wife Brenda of Kitchener and the late Krystyna Koehler.   Survived by son-in-law Terry Koehler.   Loving Babcia of Rick, Robin, Cara, Julia, Joanna, Kim, Blaine and the late Tiffany, and great-grandmother of Katie, Jennifer, Bailey, Abigail, Layla, Tessa and Ryan. Sophia and John were fortunate to visit the remaining relatives in Poland several times. Sophia was a wonderful person, a friend to many.  Despite having a limited education, she was a fantastic cook, baker, seamstress, craftsperson and meticulous housekeeper. Mass of Christian Burial was held May 19, 2015, at Sacred Heart Church, Kitchener. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
