DILLON, Peggy (nee Coules)

Born on January 12th, 1922 in Sudbury and passed away on February 12th, 2015 at the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital in her 94th year.  Peggy leaves behind her cherished son Jim, daughter-in-law Donnette, twin grandsons Matthew (Rose), and Luke (Trina), and her great-grandchildren Olivia, Crayden, Victoria, Maxwell and Henry. Peggy is predeceased by her parents Agnes (nee Kubiseski) and Anthony Coules, her 4 sisters Mary, Frances, Lillian and Monica, and by her 3 brothers, Martin, Jerome and James. Peggy was a 64 year member of the Catholic Women’s League and was a past president of the League at St. Peter the Apostle Church. During her tenure with liturgy she was instrumental in starting the Prayer Partners program and created close to 100 banners for church celebrations. In May 1995 Peggy received a Diocesen Award of Merit medal from Bishop Jean-Louis Plouffe for her long time hard work and dedication to the Catholic Church, an award she cherished very much. She was also an executive member of the Polish Canadian Club, and an executive member of the North Bay Horticultural Society. Peggy work for many years as a tax preparer for H&R Block before opening her own hair salon. Family will be receiving friends at the McGuinty Funeral Home(North Bay) on Thursday February 19th from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter the Apostle Church on Friday at 10:30am. Cremation to follow with interment at All Saints Mausoleum.
