Frances passed away peacefully on January 26, 2015 after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Pre-deceased by her husband Joseph and son Robert. Frances will be sadly missed by her children Richard (Julie) of Gatineau, Quebec, Cathy (Judy) of Toronto, Ontario and her daughter in-law Christine (Paul) of North Bay, Ontario. Frances will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Matthew, Christopher, Alex, Kaitlin and Luke. She will also be missed dearly by her sister Margaret Gardiner and her brother Roderick MacMullen (Patsy).
Frances had many great friends and we are so grateful for the love and support of Kelly & Lou McInnis (North Bay) and Joy & Marsh Swartz (Bracebridge) as well as a host of great friends and extended family in the Sydney and Richmond County area, Cape Breton. A celebration of Frances' life will be held at a later date. Donations may be made to the Sacred Heart Church, Johnstown, Nova Scotia care of the CWL.
