DUFRESNE, Maurice 'Moe', Adrien

Posted

(March 2, 1934 – January 25, 2015) - It is with heavy hearts that the family announces Moe’s passing on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at the North Bay Regional Health Centre with his wife and family by his side.  Beloved husband of 61 years to Rita (Martin) Dufresne. Loving father to Michel (Hélène Dupuis), Jules (Cindy Sanders), Richard (Gaby Bélanger), Pierre (Diana Boughner), Lynn (Chris Scott).  Adored grandfather of Jason, Natalie, Chantal, Jozée, Roch, Jeffrey, Cassandra, Alexander and Keerstyn.  Cherished great-grandfather of Kaylee, Vyanna, Kamilya, Taylor, Anjolie, Hunter, Chloé, Riley, Kasey, Chelsea, Raedyn, Jérémie and Logan. Dear son of Anthime and Emma (Dénommée), both deceased.  Dear brother of Ivan, Jean-Marc (deceased), Louise, Fernande, Marcel (deceased), Romeo and Danielle.  Moe is finally at peace after a lengthy illness.  He showed strength, courage and determination.  His family was his pride and joy and the values and love that he showed us all will forever live in each of us.  His quick wit always kept us laughing (sometimes groaning).  He loved to play golf and pool.  He was a great husband, father, grandfather, brother, son and a true friend to all who were fortunate to know him. You will be missed so very much. Family will receive friends at the McGuinty Funeral Home on Wednesday from 10 am until time of service in the McGuinty Funeral Home Chapel at 12 pm. Thank you to the staff at North Bay Regional Health Centre, floor C3 and A1 for all your care, concern and support.  Thanks to the CCAC staff who provided care during his illness.  And finally, a huge thank you to Dr. Carter; the compassion you showed will forever be remembered. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to the North Bay Regional Health Centre, Canadian Diabetes Association or the Northeast Cancer Centre. Online condolences can be made at www.mcguintyfuneralhome.com.
