SHAW, Vera (nee SKIBINSKY)

It is with sorrow that the family of Vera Shaw announces her peaceful passing on Friday, November 21, 2014 at the North Bay Regional Health Centre. Vera was born in a small town near Rovno in Eastern Ukraine in 1927.  Loving mother of Ron Borody (Mary-Lou), Judy Borody, Wayne Borody (Jacqueline).  Predeceased by her son Patrick Borody (Helena).  Vera will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Gabriel, Calin, Melissa, Terra, Charlotte and Mina, as well as her great-grandchildren Jasmin, Chelsea and Benjamin.  Vera will also be fondly remembered by her North Bay friends Nicole Pellerin, Mary Chamberlain, Linda Beatty and Barbara Stevens.  Vera will be most remembered for her kind heart and concern for the less fortunate.  A family graveside service will be held at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Toronto at a later date, followed by a reception.  The family would like to thank the nursing staff and physicians in the Critical Care Unit of the North Bay Regional Health Centre for the excellent care Vera received while in the unit.  Cremation arrangements entrusted to HILLSIDE FUNERAL SERVICES 705-474-7655.
