It is with profound sorrow that the family of Theresa Suraci announces her passing on Saturday, November 15th, 2014 at the age of 84 with her family by her side at the Trillium Health Partners Hospital in Mississauga, Ontario. Theresa was born on March 25th, 1930 in Santo Stefano D’Aspromonte, Reggio Calabria, Italia and immigrated to Canada in 1952. Beloved wife (for 56 years) of the late Domenico Suraci. Loving daughter of the late Giuseppe Nucara, Domenica Nucara and Melina Schiavone. Theresa will be sadly missed by her loving children Frank (wife Judi nee Saari), Josie McCarthy (husband Keith), and Joseph (wife Nadia nee Pullara). Loving grandmother of Michael (wife Hilary), Jana, Steven (wife Melissa), Jeffrey, Sonya, Bryana and great granddaughter Nora. Dear sister of Giuseppe Nucara (wife Rosetta), Antonietta Zimbalatti (husband Giuseppe deceased), Francesco (wife Domenica), Stefano (deceased), Umberto (deceased). She was a dear aunt of many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Theresa was a woman of faith, hope, and courage as she battled her own health challenges. Throughout her lifetime, Theresa touched many lives in such a profound way that we are all better people. Theresa will be dearly missed, but will never be forgotten. She will live in our hearts forever! Thank you to all who were part of Theresa’s journey to heaven. The family also extends sincere gratitude to those friends who came to Theresa’s aid throughout her last few years residing in North Bay.  Theresa believed in Angels and now she is "our Angel".  Family and friends may pay their respects at McGuinty Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 19th 2014 from 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter the Apostle Church on November 20th at 11:00am. Entombment in All Saints Mausoleum, North Bay. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart Stroke Foundation or the Arthritis Society would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
