Cunningham, Frederic Bertram

Passed away on Thursday October 16, 2014. Fred was in his 78th yr. He leaves behind his wife of 57 yrs Frances and his five children Dr. Kenneth (Diane) of Vancouver, B.C., Christopher of China, Rick of North Bay, David of Toronto and Kathryn of Tofino, B.C. as well as 7 grandchildren Amanda, Laura, Ian, Corey, Alexandra, Cooper and Madison. Also survived by his brother Butch (Nancy) and sister Karen (Merrel). He was predeceased by his brother Richard “Dick” (Carol – also deceased).  “I shall pass thru this world but once, any good thing therefore I can do, or any kindness I can show to any human being let me do it now for I shall not pass this way again” by Stephen Grillet. Fred loved this writing and tried to live his life by it. Fred always loved life, his family and people. He has been young with all it had to offer. He was a husband, father, friend, business man, electrician inspector and on the Board of the Golden Age.  Fred was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus - 4th degree  Albanel Assembly and past Grand Knight of Council 1007. He loved David’s cottage surrounded by relatives. He has enjoyed a full and rewarding life and passed in state of grace. It was a life well lived and we will miss him.  Family receiving friends at HILLSIDE FUNERAL SERVICES, 362 Airport Rd, on Sunday October 19th, 2014 from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 pm. The Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday October 20th at the Pro Cathedral of the Assumption at 10:00 am.
