Passed away peacefully on September 7, 2014 at his residence at the age of 75 years. Loving husband of Marie-Jeanne (nee Laporte). Cherished father of Garfield Jr. (Cindy). Gary will be sadly missed by his grandchildren; Nicole, Michelle and Joe Chayer, Vanessa and Bradley Bedard and Kyle and Shannon Hobson and his great-grandchildren; Jessica, Amber, Alexis, William, Hailey and Christopher. Dear brother of Larry Bedard “Libby” (Marlene) and Yollande Petrie (Roger). Sadly missed by several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Gary is predeceased by his daughter Bridgette (John Gendron-surviving), his parents Lucien and Antoinette and several brothers and sisters. Visitation will be held at the McGuinty Funeral Home on Wednesday September 10, 2014 from 2-4pm & 7-9pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Vincent-de-Paul on Thursday September 11, 2014 at 11am. Interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be gratefully appreciated by his family.
