With heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Thor Davis on August 13, 2014 while doing what he loved. He was born to Ray and Sheila Davis on February 24, 1969 in New Liskeard. Thor is survived by his daughter Kirsten Yandt-Davis, mother Sheila, father Ray, sister Kathy Anaka (Lindsay), grandmother Anne Davis, aunt Margaret Souter, uncles Doug and Joe Smith and many cousins. Thor received his Bachelor of Business Administration Degree with High Distinction from Nipissing University and graduated as valedictorian of his class in 1994. Thor has spent most of his life in North Bay and in 2000 joined the North Bay Fire Department and soon realized it was his calling. He had a hunger for knowledge, a huge heart and an entertaining personality that brought joy to those in his company. He touched many with his love for life and adventure. Thor had a passion for his job, biking, golfing, hockey and spending time with family and friends. Thor’s pride and joy was his loving daughter and buddy Blu. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 15 at 1:00 p.m. at Hillside Funeral Services, 362 Airport Road in North Bay.
