It is with heavy hearts that the family announces Rod’s peaceful passing at his North Bay home on Sunday, August 10, 2014 at the age of 60 years. Rod is survived by and will be greatly missed by his loving wife Maureen and “girlies” Lacey and Maggie of North Bay ON, sons Travis Larivee and Darcy Larivee (Ashley), grandchildren Riley and Madison, all of Iroquois Falls ON, sister Margaret Lamarche (Pierre) of Chilliwack BC, brother Ronald Larivee (Sandy) of Essex, ON, brother Leonard Larivee (Fran) of Thunder Bay ON, sister Victoria Proulx (Ronald) of Iroquois Falls ON, sister Debra Fletcher (Dennis) of Iroquois Falls ON, sister Mary Ellen Demerchant (Tony) of Sudbury ON as well as many nieces and nephews. Rod is predeceased by his parents, Ted and Lillie Larivee of Iroquois Falls ON and his brother Robert Larivee of Matheson ON. Rod will fondly be remembered by all his friends and co-workers at the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services where he was employed for 34 years. As per Rod’s wishes a private family celebration of his life will be held at HILLSIDE FUNERAL SERVICES.  Donations to the Cancer Society will be gladly accepted.
