On July 30, 2014 at North Bay Regional Health Care Center at the age of 69 years. Brian son of Alan and Winifred Pentland (both predeceased) Predeceased by his wife Vera (nee Cinotti) Survived by his children Tammy Brown (Peter) of Cobourg and Shawn Pentland of North Bay. Sister Shelley Pentland (Doug Sexton) of British Columbia. Dear nephew of Vivian Pentland (Ron predeceased) of North Bay and Fran Armstrong (predeceased) of Goderich. Dear Papa to Karlene, Cameron & Curtis Brown of Cobourg. Sadly missed by Liz and Ken Brooks of Elliot lake. He will be missed by sisters-in-law and brothers In-law and nieces and nephews. Brian was employed at DuPont Explosives (E.T.I/ Dyno) for 35 years. He also spent countless hours traveling to local schools educating children on the danger of blasting caps found during construction season "Do Not Touch Them!" A Member of The Associated Canadian Travelers for 43 years. Upon retirement Brian enjoyed being part of the True North staff as a shuttle service driver. Visitation at HILLSIDE FUNERAL SERVICES, North Bay, on Saturday August 9th from 10 am until time of funeral service at 12 noon. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home. Donations may be made to the Associated Canadian Travelers North Bay club #1049. Donations through the A.C.T. North Bay are distributed in the community to local charities and scholarships).
