HURLEY, Robert Harold

Sergeant, Retired, 1958-1988 Passed away at the North Bay General Hospital on Saturday, July 24, 2010 after losing his battle with leukemia. He was 72 years old. Robert was the son of the late Elwood and Dorothy Hurley of Orillia, Ontario. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Robert worked for many years with the Royal Canadian Armed Forces in North Bay, maintaining many of the Aircraft that were based there. A private family service will be held at a later date. TURCOTTE, LOUISE ETTA (nee Deluca)

With a heavy heart and great sadness,Clarence(Turk) Turcotte announces the passing of his wife and best friend Louise. Her children Karen LaPorte(Gord), Cheryl Noel(Tom Diggles), and Sandra Bialowicz (Rob) will miss her endless positivity. The grandchildren Gord Jr., Leeann (George), Ashley (Rob), Mathew (Kory), Carlee, Noah, Nicki and great granddaughter Etta Faye loved her strength and honesty. She is survived by her sister Mary. A special thanks to Judy and Mike for being there. We will all miss her SPAGHETTI SUNDAYS. Her life will be celebrated at 927 Premier Road on Tuesday July 27th starting at 4:00 p.m. BRING YOUR MEMORIES. In lieu of flowers donations to the Cancer Society are appreciated.

SULLIVAN, Doris Alice (nee Watkin)

1916 - 2010 It is with great sadness that the family of Doris Sullivan announces her peaceful passing at Cassellholme on Friday July 23, 2010. Doris was born in England and came to North Bay when she was 2 years old. She was the only child of Jack and Alice (Tomkins) Watkin. She is predeceased by her husband Alvin Kenney, daughter Heather Anne Mooney, son Kenney John, and son in law Dick Owen. Doris is survived by her children Helen Burns (Bob), Lynn Sharkey (Mark), Doug (Ramona). She is also survived by her son in law Bruce Mooney, daughter in law Corrine Sullivan, favourite cousin Evelyn Moulder, and beloved dog Toby. She was the cherished grandmother of 23, great grandmother of 34, and great-great grandmother of 10. A special thanks to the staff on the third floor at Cassellholme for their outstanding care and kindness. The family will welcome visitors at 12:00pm on Monday July 26th, 2010 at Martyn Funeral Home with a service to follow at 1:00pm. There will be a celebration of Doris’ life at the Elks Club following the service.
