MOORE, Winifred G (Win) Wednesday, March 10, 2010 Life long North Bay resident Win Moore (nee Davis) died peacefully, after a courageous struggle, at the North Bay General Hospital on Tuesday March 9th, 2010, at the age of 92 years. For 59 years Win was the beloved wife of the late Lorne. E. Moore who predeceased her in 1997. Cherished and loving mother of Beth Sagle (Glenn) of Sault Ste. Marie, David (Beverly) of Toronto and Penny Sampson (Ray Dubeau) of Callander. Loving grandmother of Jonathan & Amy, Amy & Brad, Bryan & Sarah, Steven, Kristy & Ari, Christopher & Lorene, Kevin & Lori, (& Christopher and Kevin's father Bob Sampson). Great grandmother of Brady, Brock, Teshai, Aria, Lauren, Victoria, Jack, Davis & Jake. The dear sister of Jim Davis (Miriam) of North Bay and the late Doris Brady (Les), Art Davis, & Eric Davis (Dora). Win will be remembered for her devotion to family, her involvement in church, community activities, her kindness to others, her fierce independence, and her love of travelling, reading, crossword puzzles and of life. In keeping with Win's wishes cremation and a private family service have been held. Friends may call at St. John's Anglican Church, Main Street, on Saturday May 1st, 2010 from 11:00 am, until time for a memorial service to celebrate her life, at 12 noon. Interment of ashes will follow in the family plot in St. John's Anglican Cemetery. If desired donations to St. John's Anglican Church (General Fund) or Harmony Place, will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy. Arrangements entrusted to MARTYN FUNERAL HOME. Victor was the beloved husband of Isabel (nee Hurdman). Loving father of Victor (Giancarla), Ross (Claudette), Janet ( Rodger) McNabb, Wayne (Cathie) and Elinor (Doug) MacMillan; grandchildren Kevin, Michelle, Rodger Jr., Glen, Joe, Cameron, Amanda, Spencer and Olivia; great grand children Tyler, Kaitlyn and Jared. Dearly loved brother of Jack, Fred, Anne and Audrey; predeceased by his parents Victor and Mary McOrmond and by his siblings Mary, Charles, Joyce and Maureen. Victor worked for many years for the Federal Government before owning and operating two Confectionary Stores. Retiring to his Hobby farm in Mattawa, he enjoyed creating and grooming his private golf fairways. Respecting Victor's wishes Cremation has taken place. Print View | Send to a Friend TOOLE, Donald William Monday, March 08, 2010 Passed away peacefully at the North Bay General Hospital - McLaren Site, on Saturday, March 6, 2010. Donald was the beloved husband of the late Ruby Caroline Simpson, he was 84 years old. Loving father of Brad and his wife Leslie of Collingwood, Sherry and her husband Jim Butti, Jodi and her husband Ronald Martin and Kathy and her husband Frank Forth all of North Bay. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Jennifer (Jason), Daryl (Maija), Haley, Tammy and great grandchildren Cassie, Mackenzie and Carson.
Dearly loved brother of Ralph of St.Catherines. Don was predeceased by his special friend Rachel Hunt He was also predeceased by his parents Wesley and Gertrude and by his siblings Margaret and Jack. He served with the Canadian Army during WWII. Don retired from Canada Post, in North Bay in
1988 after 32 years. Visitation will be held in the Martyn Funeral Home today from 7:00 – 9:00 P.M. and on Tuesday, March 9th from 12noon until time for a Funeral Service in the Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 P.M.
Branch #23 of the Royal Canadian Legion will conduct a Memorial Service in the Funeral Home Tuesday at 1:30 P.M. Cremation with interment of ashes in the family plot in Dunchurch.
