PEACE School forum coming in early February
Wednesday, January 16, 2013 by: BayToday.ca StaffParadigm Education Academy of Creative Enlightenment (aka PEACE School), a revolutionary, holistic Arts and Academics infused education system, plans to launch a model, green school in the North Bay region in 2013.A public forum and recruiting session for the community will be held February 2, 2013 in the Nipissing University cafeteria common, from 1 to 4 pm, to clarify and inform parents, children, educators and investors of the PEACE vision and mission.
The theme of the forum, “Music & Magical Moments” is indicative of what participants may expect in this presentation, to provide an essence of the experience in a PEACE classroom.
“PEACE provides a re-enchantment of Education with an Arts and Academics infused curriculum founded on imagination creativity education," said PEACE School Founder and Director Susan Terry.
"The curriculum is designed with flexibility, to adapt to student capability, needs and learning styles. The key focus of the forum presentation addresses our unique relationship with music, nature and all life forms, environmental awareness and the responsibility we have for the living Earth that sustains us. In PEACE programs, children are guided to explore their world meaningfully, discover the limitless possibilities, while they develop their innate gifts and talents, to express their individuality.”
Participants of the forum will join in hands-on Arts and Academic workshops following an introduction to PEACE School, and close with an open question session.
