Carruthers St. woman charged with robbery

At 9:49pm Dec 2nd a woman entered an unlocked residence on Cassells St.

When she began searching the premises, the 65 yr old resident sleeping in the bedroom woke up and confronted her. After a short conversation a struggle ensued where the woman grabbed a large quantity of money from the pocket of his housecoat. The struggle continued down the hallway and outside where the victim managed to get a portion of the money back. The woman then fled on foot.

At 10:09pm the woman was located at Fisher and Chippewa Sts where she was arrested and the remainder of the money retrieved.

Angel Fillimchuk 35yrs of Carruthers St has been charged with break enter and theft, and robbery.

She has been held in custody for a bail hearing.
