Seniors and their issues will be the focus of an all candidates "forum" to take place on Tuesday September 22nd at the Empire on McIntyre Street.

The evening starts at 6:30, with a chance to meet candidates one-on-one.

At 7 the question and answer period will begin, with opportunity for questions from the floor as time allows.

Audience members will be asked to keep questions focused on senior’s issues, or on how campaign platforms may impact seniors.

The event is expected to end at 8:30pm.

General Manager of The Empire, Ariane Savard says, “It’s important that our residents get a chance to hear from candidates, but we are also welcoming seniors and individuals with concerns relating to our aging population to attend. This is open to the community.”

Declared candidates so far include Jay Aspin of the Conservatives, Anthony Rota, Liberals, Kat Jodouin for the NDP and Nicole Peltier for the Green Party.

The North Bay and District Chamber of Commerce is expected to announce an all candidates debate for later in the campaign.
