The Bonfield Fire Department just left the scene early this morning after battling a blaze on Grand Desert road in Bonfield that houses a family of four.

Bonfield Township Fire Chief Thomas Raymond says the fire call came in around 5:15 pm.

When the Bonfiield Fire Crews arrived at the home, smoke and flames were clearly visible coming out of the two-storey residence.

Fire officials say one woman was home at the time and was not injured in the blaze.

Raymond says the grease fire started in the kitchen.

A neighbour says there are three dogs in the home that all got out safely, and two children in the family, 14 and 10, and the older boy is going to West Ferris soon and lost all of his uniforms in the fire.

There is no word yet on any relief effort.
