If you were walking downtown North Bay on Saturday, you might have stopped to watch the mayhem.
15 dirt bikers competed in Mayhem on Main sponsored by Cheapskate Sports.
Owner Barry Klus has announced the winners:
Klus explained it is a dirt jump competition with competitors using BMX or dirt jump bikes.
“They are very skilled. This is definitely not for beginners. We make sure of that for safety and skill sake. These riders practice regularly.”
Rider Thomas Larue competed for the first time and said he was stoked on having the jump set up on Main Street.
The winner of the draw for the $500 Wethepeople BMX is Anthony Gagnon.
The event with constant action had over $2000 in prizes. Sponsors included Norco, 1664 BMX Distribution, 10 Pack BMX Distribution, Macneil, Red Bull, David's Tea, Oakley, Ryder, WETHEPEOPLE, Blacktop, SMS Rents, DIA, City of North Bay, and Canor.
