Cops think drones may help solve this crime

Mattawa Ontario Provincial Police OPP and members from the North Bay Crime Unit are investigating a theft from a dark coloured Hyundai Santa Fe that had been parked at the marina parking lot by Explorer’s point, Mattawa.

The theft occurred on Sunday July 26, between 11 and 11:30 p.m.

A white cardboard box approximately 24”X12”X10” deep with the Microsan hand sanitizer logo on the side had been stolen from the vehicle.  The box contained an unknown amount of cash with varying denominations.

Police are aware that ‘drones’ may have been operated in the area around the time of the theft.

OPP would like to speak to anyone who may have photographs or video footage of the marina parking lot from between approximately 10:30 p.m. and midnight as you may have information that could assist with the investigation.
