Paul McLean, owner of Skaters Edge Source for Sports was devastated when he realized some money was stolen from an office located inside his Fisher Street store last Monday night.

“If you have ever been robbed, you know the sick feeling of someone going through your personal things and stealing from you,” McLean stated on the Skater’s Edge Facebook page late last week.

When McLean looked back through his surveillance video, he found who he believes is the culprit and gave the video and all the information to the North Bay Police late last week.

With approval from police, McLean decided to share his surveillance video and a photo of the alleged thief on social media.

The result was amazing.

By Monday morning, the video had more than 13,000 views.

“I’m sort of so overwhelmed by the support and the amount of people that took interest,” said McLean.

“I felt so hurt when it happened but it has almost become a more positive thing to see how much support we are getting from our customers.”

McLean hopes that the multiple shares will give the police some much needed clues to help find the unknown man responsible for the theft.
