Lots of Canada Day activities

The North Bay Canada Day festivities will kick off at noon at the Waterfront A.C.T.

The North Bay Canada Day festivities will kick off at noon at the Waterfront A.C.T. shelter with the singing of O’Canada and the official cake cutting ceremonies hosted by the Association of Canadian Travellers and the Best Western North Bay Hotel & Conference Centre.

After the opening ceremonies, the North Bay & District Multicultural Centre will host the 9th annual Multicultural Showcase.  This event features an afternoon of performers highlighting the diversity of North Bay through music, song, dance, and other artistic forms.
Discovery North Bay is offering free entry into their “Fakes and Forgeries” at Discovery North Bay between 10am – 2pm as part of the days events. 

From 10am – 12pm there will be cricket coaching followed by a 1pm cricket game held at Amelia soccer field for people aged 16 and up.  Participants must register in advance by contacting Deborah at 705-495-8931.  

Parking and Road Closures

Memorial Drive will remain open throughout the day on Canada Day, but will be closed between 8 pm and 11 pm for the fireworks display.   The parking lot in front of the Boat restaurant is the only lot unavailable for parking.

Canada Day Sunfest in Mattawa

In Mattawa Explorer's Point is the place to go for Canada Day celebrations. 

There will be many activities for children of all ages: including pony rides, sand building station, best dressed Canadian competition, clowns, redneck swimming pool, family games for parents and children, fitness zones, all day BBQ, free Canada Day cupcakes and much more!

There will also be live entertainment including Zumba, the magic of Christophe, children’s talent show, Tomfoolery, Sandra & Friends and Roadhouse.

The night will end with a magnificent fireworks show overlooking the Ottawa River.
