But it will warm up tomorrow, and frost won't be a problem.

Saturday will be mainly sunny. Wind becoming southwest 30 km/h late in the morning. High 16. Overnight will see cloudy periods. Low 12.

A risk of frost advisory has been issued for:

  • North Bay and area,
  • Powassan - Mattawa,
  • West Nipissing - French River,
  • Greater Sudbury and vicinity,
  • New Liskeard - Temagami,

Frost may damage some crops in frost-prone areas.

Widespread frost is expected tonight due to clear skies and overnight lows falling below zero degrees celsius.

Take preventative measures to protect frost-sensitive plants and trees.

The most popular way to guard against frost is with the use of some type of covering. Most anything will work, but old blankets, sheets, and even burlap sacks are best.

When covering plants, drape them loosely and secure with stakes, rocks, or bricks.
