Police busy with drug traffickers

The West Nipissing Police Service executed a drug bust on a home located on Church St. in February. (No date provided) Upon entry, the lone occupant was arrested and escorted out of the apartment.

Upon entry, the lone occupant was arrested and escorted out of the apartment.  It was searched and officers found various types of drugs including methamphetamine and marijuana. 

The 34 year old man was charged with:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking,
  • Possession of a controlled substance and
  • one count of possession of property obtained by crime. 

Then on February 7th, police executed another search warrant on a Railway St. house. 

Two people were located inside and were immediately placed under arrest. 

Various drugs were found with an approximate street value of $1,300 along with over $6,000 in Canadian currency. 

A 35 year old woman was charged with:

  • two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and
  • one count of property obtained by crime.

A 31 year old man was charged with:

  • two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and
  • one count of possession of property obtained by crime.
