Police stopped a vehicle Main Street West yesterday at approximately 2 p.m.,and arrested the female driver and her male passenger on suspicion of drug trafficking.
A search found that they were in possession of 240 Hydromorphone pills with an estimated street value of $15,600. Police seized the drugs as well as $780 in Canadian currency from the pair.
Following the investigation, police charged:
Paul Joseph Philion, age 32, of North Bay with:
• One count of drug possession;
• One count of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking; and
• One count of possession of property obtained by crime.
Marie Diane Doria Perrin, age 50, of North Bay with:
• One count of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking; and
• One count of possession of property obtained by crime.
Philion was held in custody pending a bail hearing today, while Perrin was released from custody on conditions and with a court date scheduled for March 10th.
