Temagami is getting Federal money to improve its waterfront and renovate its train station.

MP for Nipissing-Timiskaming, Jay Aspin, says $320,000 will go to complete the waterfront renovation project.

And $72,000 will help renovate the Temagami Train Station as a multi-use facility.

“Municipalities like Temagami are established destinations for thousands of visitors to Northern Ontario,” said Aspin.

“Many of these tourists are attracted by the natural beauty of  the Temagami region."

Waterfront renovations include dock expansions to facilitate accessibility.

The Temagami Train Station will be turned into a year-round, multi-use facility that will accommodate new businesses. The funding will be used to upgrade the structure’s windows, doors, insulation, plumbing, and electrical and heating systems.
