BayToday.ca has learned the Aeropostale retail clothing store in Northgate Shopping Centre will be shutting down early in the New Year.

Currently the store is holding up to 70 percent off items and employees have been telling shoppers that the store will remain open until January 27th, but store officials say that depends on store inventory.

North Bay Aeropostale management would not comment on the closure but confirmed that it is happening.

The mall location employs about 10 staff members.

Aeropostale, which has operated out of Northgate Square for the past 5 years, sells casual apparel (jeans, t-shirts, & sweaters) and accessories with their primary target being the teenage demographic.

According to the corporate website, Aeropostale Inc. currently operates 75 stores in Canada.
