The Toyota Wish Maker program which handed out 24 wishes to Ontarians gave a very special gift to 3-year-old Gage Desjardins.

Gage suffers from Spina Bifida.

"We made this wish for Gage because he has been obsessive with hockey lately," said his Mother Shayna Dejardins in the Toyota Wish video.

The youngster's wish came true as Toyota surprised him with a sledge which will allow him to be able to skate and play sledge hockey.

"The sledge is going to give him the independence, it's going to give him a chance to play hockey," added Shayna.

The Ontario Toyota Dealers Wishmaker Holiday Calendar Contest handed out 24 prizes to 24 winners throughout the month of December.  All the winners had to send in a short online entry to qualify.  Nominations started in mid November.
