More than 50 friends and family congregated at the Moose Cookhouse on Main Street Tuesday night in anticipation of Reality TV victory for a pair of local teens.

Austin Lindsay and Sean Petrie were finalists in the Disney XD 2014 Grizzly Cup competition, which was like a kids version of the Amazing Race and Survivor.

The 5-episode program was shot in September in the Muskoka region.  However, the two Chippewa Senior Secondary students were told by Disney XD executives that they couldn't tell anyone how and where they finished.

Until Tuesday night.

In the final episode, which aired at 7:00 p.m. on Disney XD, Petrie and Lindsay started the final two competitions in second place with three teams left.

However, the North Bay duo says a running event called the "Long and Windy Challenge," did them in.

“It was actually the toughest challenge we’ve ever done," Austin admitted.

"It started out with Sean and I in the lead but then we started to fall back and then an incident happened which brought us back to last place but then we ran and caught up to the rest of the teams. I was actually surprised we got second place.”

In a Survivor like ceremony, Team Red (from Kelowna, B.C.) was crowned Grizzly Cup champions for 2014.

Despite not being able to hoist the Grizzly Cup with all their friends and family, the two were thrilled to have so many friends and family supporting them while they all watched the final episode for the first time.

“It’s really cool, especially when your friends are always guessing what place you got and stuff like that, and having all your friends here to support you and see what you accomplished on the show is pretty cool,” said Sean.

The North Bay teens, who met at the Barbara Treleavan School of Dancing, were pretty flattered to hear the kind words one of the Reality TV hosts.

"The Green team showed perseverance, strength, courage and choreography," said Grizzly Cup Co-Host Bradford Howe during the final episode.

Sean and Austin hope to continue to work together and perhaps this isn't the end of the line for these young Reality TV athletes.

"I'd like to try out for more stuff," said Sean.

"I also want to try a lot more stuff to train to get my stamina up."

The 5th episode, which will be a "Best-of" program will air next Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. on Disney XD.
