Jay Aspin, MP for Nipissing-Timiskaming announced a FedNor grant a $387,600 for Powassan’s new business industrial park and $20,800 for an enhancement for the Sportsplex recreational facility.
The $387,600 will enable Powassan to establish a fully serviced, 14 acre ndustrial park.
The funding will be used to complete infrastructure enhancements such as water, sewer, and utility services in a road extension to the development site.
“This business / industrial park will be a strategic development for Powassan,” said MP Jay Aspin. “It will be an economic multiplier for the town and region by attracting private sector investment to maximize economic opportunity."
The $20,800 will help refurbish the Sportsplex Community Recreation Centre to a barrier-free facility.
