The YMCA reminds the public that the deadline to submit nominations for the YMCA Peace Medallion is tomorrow, Friday, October 31st.
"We are currently looking for youth nominations (ages 24 and under). If you know a youth who has worked towards Peace in the local and/or global community, this is a wonderful opportunity for them to be recognized for their efforts," stated North Bay YMCA Marketing & Communications Manager Liam Cullin in a press release.

Each year, YMCAs across Canada celebrate acts of peace by recognizing individuals and groups who, without any special resources, status, wealth or position, have demonstrated a commitment to building peace within their community or communities elsewhere in the world.
YMCA Peace Week takes place November 15th to 22nd with the Peace Medallion Ceremony scheduled to take place Monday, November 17th at noon at the YMCA.
