The Blue Sky Bingo Hall has some more room for Not-for-Profit organizations to operate Bingos at the facility located at 420 Airport Road.

A total of 55 registered charitable and Not-for-Profit organizations operate in the facility.

Bingo Hall Charity Administrator Mark Brown says they have a total of 7 openings.

“You must be prepared to commit to working two bingo sessions per month,” said Brown.

“All organizations must apply to and be approved by the North Bay City Licensing Authority to receive charitable gaming funds.”

The city has cracked down on some organizations who were giving their bingo funding to organizations that were also running their own bingos at the facility.

“In the past we have had programs not funding a specific program and they were raising money and contributing to organizations running bingos so that was kind of like double dipping.”

Brown says any Not-for-Profit or Charitable group interested in running Bingos needs to contact Lauri Wood and apply for a Charitable Gaming Funding License through the city of North Bay.

“They will need a charter or be a registered charitable or non-for-profit organization with a board of directors.  A person just can’t come in to run bingos just because he or she wants to raise money for a school playground.  It has to be a registered organization.”

Interested organizations can contact Bingo Hall Charity Administrator Mark Brown at 705-474-7993 or by email at [email protected]
