Council candidate Devin Scully wants to see potholes around North Bay fixed.

"Over the past six weeks I have spoken to a great many people around North Bay, be it knocking on doors, answering emails, or just going for a walk around town. Many people have raised a number of different issues they want to see addressed by council. By far the most frequent thing I heard were the roads", he said in a news release.

"Potholes are not just unsightly and inconvenient, they are dangerous. They can cause expensive damage to vehicles. Potholes also prevent a hazard to cyclists who must swerve to avoid potholes which could put the rider in harm’s way of motor vehicle traffic or risk damage to their bike and bodily harm hitting the pothole."

Scully says in places where the whole road isn’t going to re-paved in the near future, he wants to see all of these potholes patched.

"I believe it is better to make a small repair now than a much larger one later. By repairing potholes we can prevent related damage to motor vehicles as well as give our roads more longevity."

Scully calls roads a "prority".
