Female teacher charged with sexual assault

A concerned parent in South Porcupine believed their child was being sexually assaulted and so called the OPP.

A concerned parent in South Porcupine believed their child was being sexually assaulted and so called the OPP.

Police responded to the report of sexual allegations, investigated, and as a result, a 27 year old female teacher of South Porcupine was arrested and charged for the following:

·    Sexual Assault as per s.271 of the Criminal Code (CC):

·    Sexual Interference as per s.151 (a) of the CC;

·    Sexual Exploitation as per s.153 (1) (a) of the CC;    

·    Sexual Invitation as per s.152 of the CC; and with

·    Obstruct Police as per s.129 (a) of the CC.

OPP say to protect the identity of the victim, they will not be releasing the name of the accused. 

She is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Provincial Court of Justice in Timmins on December 16, 2014.
