Two youths robbed of wallets and cellphones

Two youths had their wallets and cell phones robbed by a man unknown to them early Saturday morning. At approximately 2 a.m.

Two youths had their wallets and cell phones robbed by a man unknown to them early Saturday morning.

At approximately 2 a.m., both victims were standing on Dudley Avenue, when a man approached them with a knife demanding that they hand over their personal belongings.

After both victims provided him with their cell phones and wallets, he left the area on foot.

The victims flagged down a passing motorist who contacted North Bay Police.

Within minutes, police located the suspect and placed him under arrest.

North Bay Police have charged Jayd St. Amour, age 20, of Corbeil with two counts of robbery with a weapon.

Meanwhile, over the weekend, the North Bay Police Service responded to 217 calls for service that resulted in 13 arrests.
Offences included public intoxication; impaired driving; domestic assault; assault with a weapon; assault causing bodily harm; robbery; warrants and breach of recognizance.
