Police are hoping the public can help in identifying a man with a unique identifying feature who tried to break into a home on Anita Avenue this morning.
At approximately 10:30 police got a report of an attempt break and enter.
A woman who had temporarily left the home returned to find an unknown man at the door trying to break in.
When she asked him what he was doing, he physically assaulted her and then fled.
The suspect is identified as a 6-foot tall, very thin man, clean-cut and with a deep scar running down his face from his left eye to the left side of his mouth.
He was wearing red skinny jeans and a black buttoned cardigan at the time.
