The Heritage Gardeners is holding a seminar that will help you make gifts from your garden.

Guest speaker will be Janet Vos, an avid gardener and farmer off and on all her life.

In 2004 she started Harvest Moon Herb Farm in her backyard garden.

She sold her products at the North Bay Farmers' Market.

At both the market and the farm gate, she sells fresh cut herbs and bedding plants, as well as herbal value added products and other farm products.

After expanding each year, the farm is transitioning to organic, with certification slated for 2017.

Vos will show how to create gifts from the herbs in your garden.

You will make a small item to take home with you and be served delicious herbal treats!

A Master Gardener will be on hand to answer any gardening or plant related questions. The event takes place on Wednesday, October 8, 7-8 p.m. at the Discovery North Bay Museum

Participants must pre-register by noon on Tuesday, October 7, by calling 705-472-4006 or emailing [email protected]

This session is free but donations are always welcome.
