Remember that boat that ended up stranded on top of an island in the south shore of Lake Nipissing?

Police now tell BayToday that charges are pending against the owner.

OPP say they received a call after residents heard a loud bang on the night of Sunday August 24th.

What they found when they investigated was this 30 ft powerboat, called Lady Di, left high and dry on Lonely Island in Hinchberger Bay.

Its propeller was lying about 20 feet away on the rock.

When police arrived no-one was around and the keys had been taken from the boat.

Police say they know the owner. They say exact charges will be released shortly.
