North Bay Battalion Game Day Host Kelsey Richard is taking part in an audition of a lifetime at the ACC in Toronto Wednesday night.

The Junior Account Executive at Clark Communications was chosen as one of the top 50 out of 600 to perform an audition for the vacant Toronto Maple Leafs In-Arena Host Position.

On Wednesday afternoon Kelsey was going through a 7-page script that she will have to memorize and perform in front of 5 to 10 officials from Maple Leafs Sports and Entertainment.

She credits the support from Battalion fans and people like Mayor Al McDonald, who gave her the confidence to apply for the NHL level job.

“I have to admit I am very nervous but I will try to think of it as another Battalion game and this time I am only sitting in front of a few people,” said Richard Wednesday afternoon.

Her audition takes place at 7:45 on Wednesday night at the ACC.
