Ontera sold, now going private

Earlier this month we learned that 60 jobs will be cut over the next two years from Ontera , the telecommunications division of Ontario Northland .

Earlier this month we learned that 60 jobs will be cut over the next two years from Ontera, the telecommunications division of Ontario Northland . It’s a reduction of nearly half of its workforce and at least 18 of those jobs will come out of North Bay.

The cuts will come following completion of the sale to Bell Aliant in early August.

Now the Globe and Mail is reporting the parent company, BCE is planning on taking Bell Aliant private.
